Vitaferm® Concept•Aid® is a line of vitamin and mineral supplements for beef cattle formulated to promote effective, easy breeding when fed 60 days pre-calving through 60 days post-breeding. The same year we switched to VitaFerm® Concept•Aid® we left our bulls out for a shorter period of time and still gained about a 6% conception across the board. We also use the HEAT® mineral when the fescue is going hot and heavy, and that mineral really helps regulate their body temperature even on the fescue and leads to fewer foot problems. They are doing a whole lot better than some of our neighbors who don’t feed the HEAT mineral. Our cows are out there eating, and their cattle are standing in the ponds.

With the VitaFerm® Concept•Aid® Protein Tubs, we have the ability to get a good mineral package in our cows. As the green grass comes, the cows pretty much quit the protein tubs, but as their calves get up to a certain size, I’ll see a lot of calves licking on those tubs. As the grass cures out and the cows aren’t getting quite what they need out of the grass, they will start hitting those tubs again. It’s just worked into a good program. It’s helped our calves get a little better bloom on them, and I also think it gets a good mineral package in those calves which helps them wean off healthier.”
